This exciting safari leads to an area that is mostly untouched by tourism. We visit the picturesque Holbox Island in the Gulf of Mexico with a population of 1500 people and just a handful of small beach hotels.
This island is part of a large nature reserve where wildlife and scenery are protected and strict rules are being observed. Our guest have the opportunity to explore the island and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere.
• 4:00 AM Pick from any location at Riviera Maya & Cancun • 7:00 AM Arrival at Gulf of Mexico, transfer to island • 8:00 AM Brief stop over (coffee break, bathrooms) • 8:30 AM SWIMMING WITH WHALE SHARKS • 13:00 PM Lunch at beachfront restaurant, showers, pool • 14:30 PM Boat departs back to mainland • 18:00 PM Return to Hotel
Just returned from this fantastic safari. This is an awesome adventure trip, lots of food, very professional, and all the guides speak many languages. Swimming with the whale sharks was incredible, my wife and our two sons couldn't get out of the water. The sharks are huge, but they swim slowly, so its not difficult. Thanks for the time of our lives! Next year we are coming back with the rest of our family.
Swim with the largest fish in the sea. Experience the adventure of a lifetime. Both our safari tours depart daily from the Riviera Maya (free pick up from any Hotel between Cancun and Tulum). The Classic Tour departs via Holbox Island, and the Express Tour departs via Cancun with our shaded boats. Our safari guides speak the native language of our guests. Our groups are small, and we provide personalized service. We spend approximately 3 to 4 hours on the ocean; two guests swim with the sharks at a time together with a wildlife guide. Frequently we encounter many sharks along with mantas, dolphins and turtles. Following the safari our guests enjoy a beach front Mexican lunch, and return back to their Hotels in the afternoon.
